Magellan Announces 2010 RoadMate GPS Device Lineup

Magellan introduces its new 2010 RoadMate line of GPS navigation devices. These new GPS devices also come with integrated Free Lifetime Live Traffic and the exclusive OneTouch personalization feature allowing you to save favorite places, categories and searches.

In total there are 10 models and all of them feature spoken street names, 6 million points of interest, QuickSpell for error-free address entry and multi-destination routing as well as the Automatic Parking Lot Finder parking feature.

Sureshot unveils new 100 course 8850 GPS

Sureshot has just announced the launch of its new spanking brand new 8850 Golf GPS hand-held distance measuring device. The new gadget will be distributed in Europe by Motocaddy Ltd and is the most advanced and best value Sureshot to date. The gadget is very user-friendly and comes with a hi-res full colour screen which means you can still see it, even when it�s chucking it down.
It�s a great little device actually that allows you to measure all sorts of distances that you need to know help you with your game. It�s very accurate and the new model can store up 100 courses in its memory which is surely more than any man needs!

Becker Traffic Assist Z250

Becker Traffic Assist Z250 Ferrari is a result of a cooperation between Harman/Becker Autmotive Systems and Ferrari. The device has Bluetooth, touch screen (4,3 inch) and software made especially for Ferrari.
In the navigation you can find maps of 40 countries form Europe and the USA. All of them include special destination places such as airports, hospitals, petrol stations, restaurants, hotels or Ferrari showrooms. Moreover, the device informs you about speed limits and it can also tell you which traffic lane to use.
You can choose a language and voice of a lector.

The first is a huge 7 inch screen device known as the Roadmate 9055; the other is a smaller and even more portable device that can be used when out traveling the countryside with the Explorist 310.

Both GPS devices offer some great little add-ons and features. The Roadmate 9055 has an MSRP of $299 and comes with a touch screen WVGA and Bluetooth connections. Users also get a lifetime supply of map updates whenever one is available. In addition the maps are packed with POIs and places from the AAA Tour book which even include star ratings.

The Explorist runs for a $100 cheaper and features a 2.2 inch display and features that are geared far more to the outdoorsy explorer. In addition to a ton of different features geared towards keeping someone from getting lost, the device can reportedly run for 18 hours on just two AA batteries.

Garmin GPS Oregon 300


The Oregon 300 is the next-generation handheld GPS system. Featuring a rugged construction and easy-to-use touchscreen, this is a great hand-held system for the outdoorsman. Also incorporated into the unit is a built-in base-map with shaded relief, a barometric altimeter, high-sensitivity receiver, electronic compass, microSD� card slot, picture viewer and more.
The user interface allows you to exchange tracks, waypoints, routes and geocaches wirelessly between other similar units. The rugged design is both durable and waterproof, making the Oregon 300 well-equipped to withstand the various elements as well as the typical abuse that these kinds of units are typically subjected to.

TomTom Go 750 Live and Go 950

TomTom just recently announced its new flagship series TomTom GO x50 LIVE which include TomTom GO 750 LIVE and TomTom GO 950 LIVE.
The HD traffic system of live traffic, weather conditions, Google Maps or fuel price can be accessed via the embedded SIM card. The fuel price option was included in older devices such as 740 and 940 but it was inactive. There will be a special update for those users to enable this option. Besides the new options, TomTom optimized the user�s interface to make navigation easier and more intuitive. The Go 950 has US, Canadian and European maps, the Go 750 European Maps. No date of release or pricing has been announced yet but they should be available in stores in autumn.

Magellan 2010 Lineup of GPS Navigation Systems

As you may already know Magellan just introduced a bunch of new GPS navigation systems for their RoadMate series. The new models range from 4.3? screen to 5? but all of them come with integrated Free Lifetime Live Traffic. Also all models are capable of text to speech, multi destination routing, and know about 6 million points of interests. The prices will range from $170 to $300.
