Sureshot unveils new 100 course 8850 GPS

Sureshot has just announced the launch of its new spanking brand new 8850 Golf GPS hand-held distance measuring device. The new gadget will be distributed in Europe by Motocaddy Ltd and is the most advanced and best value Sureshot to date. The gadget is very user-friendly and comes with a hi-res full colour screen which means you can still see it, even when its chucking it down.
Its a great little device actually that allows you to measure all sorts of distances that you need to know help you with your game. Its very accurate and the new model can store up 100 courses in its memory which is surely more than any man needs!
In the past year Motocaddy has invested heavily in high-tech digital, calibrated maps and in-house mappers to ensure that all courses are 100% accurate compared to some other GPS companies who rely on the likes of Google Earths technology, which can be up to 20-30 yards out.
Obviously, with golf the accuracy is key and the advanced GPS technology of the Sureshot offers unrivalled speed of satellite connectivity and distance accuracy to plus or minus one yard which is awesome.
The 8850 displays the distance from you to the green or hazards in either metres or yards depending on your personal preference. Distances to greens and other key points such as hazards, dog-legs and lay-ups are displayed in real time and update with your movements. Players can also personally map a course or edit any registered mapped course using the Sureshot 8850 GPS unit.
I believe that the advanced technology, functions and accuracy of the new Sureshot 8850 GPS offers golfers the most complete and without question best value, golf GPS unit on the market today, commented Rod Brown, Managing Director, Motocaddy Ltd.
We have invested heavily in innovative and extremely accurate mapping technology to ensure that all our distance readings are incredibly accurate. Golfers who use a Sureshot GPS unit can totally trust the yardages he added.
With the Sureshot, you can also easily record both scores and stats, which is great. You can also measure driving distance, (which lets face it, we all want to know really), fairways hit, greens in regulation, sand saves and putts. You can then download your stats after a round and analyse to your hearts content.
Sureshot has now added 12,000 courses worldwide and 2,300 have been added in the UK. All of these can be downloaded from the Sureshot website at www.sureshotgps.com. One of the bug bears with GPS devices is the yearly subscription costs. With the Sureshot, silver membership comes as standard with the 8850 and includes three free course downloads per year. You can check out their other membership packages on the website.
The Sureshot GPS 8850 retails at 229.99 and is available direct from the Motocaddy website at www.motocaddy.com/sureshot
